FISHERMAN, HUNTER, OUTDOOR ENTHUSIAST
Who is Nick Glenn
I take a unique approach to content creation, blending my outdoor lifestyle with professional media expertise. When I develop visual content, I focus on one goal—creating authentic stories that connect brands with their core audience.
Born and raised in San Diego, my story began on the Pacific, chasing bluefin and yellowfin tuna. This passion for the outdoors shaped not just my hobbies, but my entire creative direction. From those early days on the water to now pursuing western game in Montana's backcountry, I've lived the lifestyle I love to capture.
Currently, as Social Media Coordinator at MeatEater's flagship store, I create branded content that resonates with fellow outdoor enthusiasts while driving real engagement and results. My journey in visual storytelling has taken me from photographing high school seniors in San Diego to running professional live productions at Montana PBS, each experience adding new depth to my creative toolkit.
Technical Expertise
I bring proficiency across the full Adobe Creative Suite, specializing in:
Video editing in Premiere Pro
Graphic design with InDesign & Illustrator
Photo editing in Lightroom & Photoshop
UI/UX design in Figma
My Approach
Whether I'm filming a hunting expedition, designing social media content, or capturing product photography, I bring the same authentic perspective to every project. My experience in both the outdoor industry and professional media allows me to create content that not only looks polished but truly connects with its intended audience.
I believe the best content comes from understanding both the technical aspects of production and the culture of the community you're speaking to. That's what sets my work apart—it's created by someone who lives the lifestyle.
Education & Mentorship
My formal training includes a BFA in Film & Photography from Montana State University, building on my initial photographic arts foundation from Sonoma State University. However, some of my most valuable experience came from my mentorship under Bill Keane. During my time there, I learned not just the technical aspects of photography, but the crucial business principles that make a creative career sustainable. This hands-on mentorship taught me how to balance artistic vision with practical business acumen—skills that continue to shape my professional approach today.
Beyond the Lens
When I'm not behind the camera or in the editing bay, you'll find me:
Returning to my roots for Southern California's legendary tuna fishing
Rooting for Justin Herbert and the Chargers
Skiing the cold smoke at Bridger Bowl
Chasing big game through the western backcountry
Tending to my cichlid fish tanks
